In training or competition, reliable vision helps players judge speed, distance and movement in tight spaces.
Response in the visual field
Passes and runs often develop outside the direct line of sight. Peripheral vision helps players notice movement at the edges and respond.
Play Safe
A ball, finger or elbow can injure the eye. Even apparently minor injuries need observation. An ophthalmologist should assess any pain or change in vision.
